Ok, I admit it. I am completely addicted to the Cradle game series. I can’t help it… they are just so much fun. My absolute favorite game is Cradle of Rome. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played it, but trust me… it’s been plenty. So naturally, I couldn’t wait to try Cradle of Egypt!
I really enjoy a match 3 game that is direct and to the point, without too many bells and whistles, and Cradle of Egypt fits the bill perfectly! Sure, it is a carbon copy of Cradle of Rome, but I don’t care! It’s still a great game that I’m sure I will play over and over again.
If you are a first-time player, I’ll give you a few hints to help you out.
First, it’s always a good idea to start from the bottom of the pattern. That way the top ones will fall faster. Also, try to clear out the objects you don’t need so you can get the coins or whatever staple or resource you need to build your city.
Cradle of Egypt is a little different from the other Cradle games because it has a puzzle to solve between the match 3 games. But, there is a skip button if you don’t want to bother with it and instead just want to focus on the main part of the game.
You can play in Adventure mode or Timed mode, whichever you feel like. There are 100 levels in the game and each level is harder than the next, but there’s nothing stressful about the levels so don’t worry. There are also a bunch of different trophies you can win for all different types of accomplishments, so it’s fun to try to get them all.
I found the graphics to be just terrific and the music just OK... bearable, though you might want to turn it off after a little bit and listen to something a little more soothing while you play.
Overall, Cradle of Egypt is pure entertainment. You can play it over and over and never get tired of it. But don’t just take it from me. Play the game and see what all the excitement is about!
